Marco Giocoli

 

Biography

Born in Taranto 20/06/1967.
He studied classic guitar at Paisiello Conservatory in Taranto.
In Rome, he attended Jazz guitar lessons with Mo. Fabio Zeppetella.
He attended clinics by Scott Henderson at Umbria Jazz and Mick Goodrick’s seminars at Siena Jazz.
In 1990 he moved to Rome, where he worked in recording studios and performed in the most important music clubs.
He is featured in the recording “Oro e ruggine” by Eramo & Passavanti, winners of the critics' prize at the '98 Sanremo Music Festival.
Guitarist for the recording of “Se Amando troppo. Poesia e musica” by Dacia Maraini, Rizzoli Editore.
He has been working as an accompanist in live studio with the following pop singers: Aleandro Baldi, Davide Riondino, Mimmo Locasciulli, Franco Califano and Gepy & Gepy.
Composer of music for television advertisements by Illy Caffè.
Collaborations with Tom Harrell, Ettore Fioravanti, and Stefano Cantarano.
Keeps on with his teaching activities (since 1995) and doing live gigs with this trio in different venues all over Italy.
